Main Task Script

 After having thoroughly planned out film, our next stage was to come up with a script for our movie. The script is fairly simple and basic because we doubt to get any proffesional actors to star in our film. This did not take very long to do because the storyline is well planned and the only narrative is in the interrogation scene. The script is still quite effective as the words used and how we plan to execute them follow the conventions of stereotypical gangsters.

(The scene starts with an establishing shot of the city centre, followed by a quick montage of different locations. This then changes to the target as he walks out round the corner of the street. The car starts driving and pulls up near Jimmy. Manny and Eddie step out the car and start chasing Jimmy. Jimmy runs into a dead end and is knocked unconsciousness. They put Jimmy in the boot of the car)

Eddie:  (laughs)

(Car drives off)

Interrogation scene

(Scene starts with Jimmy tied up in a chair in a deserted room with only a spotlight on him )

Eddie: Aaahhhhh Jimmy....welcome...

Manny: I bet you thought you wouldn’t see us again (punches Jimmy) after all we’ve been through? The good times...Remember the good times Jimmy? Remember when we had our first heist? God damn it Jimmy! (Punches Jimmy)

Jimmy: Fuck the good times Manny!

Ray: (walks up to Jimmy) Ima cut u up real good! (Ray pulls out the flick-knife and stabs it into Jimmy who screams in agony)

Jimmy: Pl...Please...let me go...

Rico: I thought I was the joker...

Jimmy: Fuck you all!! If you’re gonna kill me then do it already...

Eddie: (bends down) don’t you think we woulda done it Jimmy...

Jimmy: Because I wanted it all Eddie, I wanted to take the money and leave this shithole, start a new life somewhere else.

Eddie: Well its too late for that now mate...

Jimmy: Please....please just let me go!

Eddie: After everything you’ve done

Ray: You double crossing son of a bitch! (Punches Jimmy and he blacks out) Ima cut you Jimmy..I told you ima cut you!

Eddie: Hahahaha Its over Jimmy! Its over!

Manny: Let me take care of this guys! (Shoots and the scene ends)

(A shadow of someone is shown before it goes back to a close up of jimmy. The screen then goes black, a shot is heard then Jimmy runs away before the scene ends

Development Of Ideas

After looking for appropiate locations, we came up with a rough storyline in which we could develop on:

From this we built a more detailed story for the film:

• The scene starts with an establishing shot of peteborough, this shot pans around for a couple of seconds then  this changes to the target as he walks down the alleyway. The target will then walk down the alleyway slowly.  The target continues to walk down a street as an over the shot view is used. This then changes to the inside of the car where the gang briefly discuss the plan.
• This then changes to a side shot of the car driving then a close up of the wheel as the car breaks. This then quickly changes to a shot of the target followed by the shot of the car, then the target, then the car door opening up, and then the target, then the camera will be placed on the floor as you see a member of the gang step out the car.
• The target turns around and starts to run as he is chased by the two gang members. The target runs into a dead end and a fight scene occurs before the target becomes unconcious. The gang members place him in the boot of the car.
• The target wakes up to a dark deserted room with just a spotlight on him from above. The gang members take it in turns to interrogate and torture the victim; one of the gang members stabs a knife into his leg and he also gets punched quite a few times during the interrogation scene. After questioning him the film goes into various close up shots of the gang as they threaten to kill him before the leader eventually shoots him and scene ends.
